History
A team of industry professionals who had the goal of providing complete discovery services to law firms in the Denver metro area founded Electronic Legal in 2005. Since then, we have expanded our services and geographic reach, made extensive investments in infrastructure and technology, and added staff and equipment – all while remaining irresolutely true to our original mission and values.

Leadership
Trent Walton
Trent is President and one of the founders of Electronic Legal. He has too many certifications to keep track of, although a long list follows. Trent was the Litigation Assistant for one of Denver's largest law firms before he started Electronic Legal with the explicit goal of demystifying the ESI world. He is one of the most knowledgable EDD experts around, and takes great pride in negotiating complex protocols and productions.

Michael Horwith
Michael runs Electronic Legal's forensic practice. He has examined hundreds of computers, written dozens of reports, and testified at deposition, arbitration and trial. He is very experienced in labor cases, including duty of loyalty and proprietary information theft issues. Michael also has extensive experience in assisting on interrogatories and discovery requests, as well as developing ESI protocols. He was among the first forensic experts in the country to become a Certified Computer Examiner with the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners.

Technology Investments
Electronic Legal knows that investing in education and technology will result in better processes and outcomes for our clients. We spend a considerable amount of time each week learning about both technology and the law asociated with discovery issues. We maintain and seek out software certifications. We research new hardware. We read the latest legal journals and attend CLEs.
In addition to time, we also invest in the newest technology to speed our processes, increase quality output, maintain client satisfaction and help save money for our clients. We’re confident our infrastructure is the best in the region.
